SAP Recognition Award Program

The Information Systems department partnered in spring 2012 with SAP America University Alliance Program (SAP UAP) to issue the SAP Recognition Award Certificate. SAP experience is very valuable for prospective job seekers.

Undergraduate SAP Recognition Award Program

SAP experience is very valuable for prospective job seekers. Undergraduate students who complete three of the following SAP integrated IS courses with a grade of "C" or better are eligible to receive the SAP Recognition Award certificate.

Courses

ISYS 569: Business Process Management
ISYS 556: Building Business Mobile Applications
ISYS 650: Business Intelligence
ISYS 663: IT Project Management

Eligibility

All of the above undergraduate courses are open to non-IS concentration students.
The prerequisite for ISYS 569, ISY 573, and ISYS 650 is ISYS 363 or ACCT 307. Eligible students should contact the instructors who teach SAP integrated courses before the end of the semester to apply for the SAP Recognition Award certificate.

SAP Recognition Award Program for MBA Students

Graduate students who complete three of the following SAP integrated courses with a grade of "B-" or better are eligible to receive the SAP Recognition Award certificate.

Courses

ISYS 850: Seminar in Business Intelligence
ISYS 856: Enterprise Mobile Applications (first offered in Spring 2015)
ISYS 869: Seminar in Business Process Management

Eligibility

All of the above graduate courses are open to all MBA students.
The prerequisite for the graduate SAP integrated courses is BUS782. Eligible students should contact the instructors who teach SAP integrated courses before the end of the semester to apply for the SAP Recognition Award certificate.

Rewarding Program

Since the Fall 2012 semester, over 220 students have received the SAP Recognition Award certificate, including 40 MBA students. Among those students who acknowledged their appreciation for our SAP program after their graduation, many received internships as well as full-time employment at companies such as PG&E, SAP, Google, Microsoft, Accenture, GoPro, Workday, PayPal, Genentech and Cohesion Inc. Additionally, companies frequently contact the faculty with internship opportunities for these students. The faculty experience is overwhelmingly positive and rewarding. Similarly, student response to these courses and the overall experience is very positive.

Sponsorship

The IS Department seeks sponsorships to fund the expenditures associated with the SAP Recognition Award Certificate program.
